Claire Douglas
Managing Director
email ClaireClaire has worked in management, operations and business development in the IT and utilities consulting industry for over 10 years. She continues to work with utilities, systems integrators and software companies across the UK, Europe, North America and South East Asia to provide successful billing system implementations. Based from the UK office, Claire manages Split Rock’s client relationships and business operations. She holds a BSc. in Physics from the University of Manchester and a Postgraduate Certificate from the University of Cambridge.
John Hanke
Director
email JohnJohn, co-founder of Split Rock, has over 20 years experience in the utility industry both as an employee and consultant. He has spent the last ten years working as an advisor, strategist, project manager and quality manager on utility billing system and CIS implementations in the USA and the Caribbean. In his early career he spent sixteen years at Minnesota Power, working his way up the organisation from the post room through Information Services, Customer Services and Marketing. In 1997 he joined Exacta Corporation to form and lead Exacta Utilities Practice. In 2002 Split Rock was founded. John spends his time on client site leading and managing Split Rock projects. John graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
Al Tyson
Director
email AlAl is one of the founders of Split Rock and has extensive hands on experience with gas, water and electric utilities. He has spent 15 years in the industry both as a manager and consultant. Through the nineties he was with Minnesota Power and was involved in Strategic Marketing Initiatives. He then spent four years with Exacta Corporation as a Senior Account Executive in the Utilities Business Unit. In this role he was involved in multiple utility CIS implementations and Business Process projects. Based from the US office, Al manages Split Rock’s client relationships and business operations. Al holds a B.A. from the University of Minnesota.
Tom Rapp
Director
email TomTom, co-founder of Split Rock, has an extensive background in project management and professional services delivery. He has spent over thirty years in the Information Services industry in commercial software development, customized application delivery, the use of relational database systems and engagement management practices. While working for SCT and Exacta he consulted on and managed CIS and billing system implementations at over thirty utilities in North America, the West Indies and Australia. Tom spends his time on client site leading and managing Split Rock projects. Tom is certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP®), holds a B.Sc. in Business, Management, and Economics with a concentration in Information Systems Management from Empire State College, New York, and a Master of Science in Project Management from The George Washington University, Washington, DC.
